Since the early-2000s, Hebrew Through Movement (affectionately known as HTM) has been energizing Hebrew learning across North America. Students run, jump, spin and point their way to learning basic vocabulary used in rituals, blessings, and prayers.

Over 2000 educators have enrolled in the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland's online seminar that teaches the skills that build success as an HTM teacher. Many are members of the "Hebrew Moves Me" Facebook group - a great place to share and have your questions answered. Join us!
First steps for those new to HTM:
  • Bookmark (and click through) HTM's official website:  HebrewThroughMovement.org
  • Check the "What is Hebrew Through Movement?" video to peek into classrooms.
  • Attain the updated (2023) version of the HTM Curriculum Guide. It is a free download from the homepage of HebrewThroughMovement.org and has many supports for teachers! There are new photo cards and other teacher resources under the "Foundation" and "Holiday" tabs of that website.
  • Gain the skills needed to teach HTM by registering for (and completing the online seminar. Start any time and learn at your convenience, 24/7. More information and a registration link is here.
  • For HTM teachers without a strong-enough Hebrew language background, it's very helpful to complete the learning program, "Shalom Ivrit" before starting the online seminar. It's free and specifically geared to learning HTM vocabulary.
